Package Overview:
Embarking on a motorcycle trip from Pokhara to Lower Mustang is a captivating journey through the Himalayan landscape.
- We will start our motorcycle journey from Pokhara and head towards Nayapul. - The distance from Pokhara to Tatopani is approximately 110 kilometers, and the ride takes about 4 to 5 hours. - We can enjoy the scenic views of Mt. Machhapuchhre as we ride through the beautiful countryside. - The route takes us through rhododendron forests and charming villages before descending to Tatopani. - We will be staying at tatopani and relax in the natural hot spring, rejuvenating after our motorcycle adventure.
- Ride from Tatopani to Jomsom will cover a distance of approximately 76 kilometers. - The journey takes us through Rupse waterfall, Kali Gandaki Gorge, with views of the Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri peaks. - Jomsom is a major town with best facilities of the region with suitable place to rest where our second day of riding comes to an end. We will admire the town and end our day here.
- We will continue our motorcycle journey from Jomsom to Muktinath. - The distance is around 22 kilometers, however we will be visiting Dumba lake along the way which will be additional 15 kilometers and continue the road ascends to the sacred site of Muktinath. - We will explore the Muktinath Temple and enjoy the serene atmosphere with beautiful mountain range in the background at this high-altitude (3710m) pilgrimage site. - After a short break in Muktinath we head towards Kagbeni (2800m), which is approximately 12 kilometers away where we spend our night enjoying famous yak burgers at Yac Donalds. - Kagbeni is an ancient, charming and historical village with traditional and interesting Tibetan architecture and is often considered the gateway to Upper Mustang.
- From Kagbeni we start our ride towards Jomsom, which is approximately 20 kilometers. - The road will pass through picturesque landscapes, kali Gandaki river following us along side and small villages. - From Jomsom, we continue south towards Beni, which is around 80 kilometers. - The road conditions may vary, so be prepared for different terrains. - From Beni, to Kushma. The distance is approximately 45 kilometers. - Kushma is known for its world’s second highest bungee and the world’s highest swing (228m) to the Kaligandaki Gorge and district with many suspension bridges. Our day ends at an adventure resort with glamping accommodation named the Cliff.
- From Kushma we start the last day of our ride towards Pokhara via Nayapul, which is approximately 55 kilometers. - The road will offer scenic views as we travel through different terrains. - From Nayapul to Pokhara, the ride is about 20 kilometers. - The road from Nayapul to Pokhara is well-traveled and well-maintained. This itinerary offers a mix of challenging terrains, breathtaking mountain views, and cultural exploration.
